George E. Bouvier

CARTHAGE- George E. Bouvier 89, formerly of the Milady Road died peacefully early Saturday morning on April 6, 2024, at the Carthage Area Hospital surrounded by his loving family.  He was born on October 3, 1934, in Malone, New York to the late Edward & Viola (Bessey) Bouvier. 

Calling hours will be held on Thursday, April 11, 2024, from 1:00pm-3:00pm at the Lundy Funeral Home & Cremation Service, located at 500 State Street in Carthage, NY 13619. A Funeral Service will be held at 3:00pm in the Chapel of the Funeral Home with Military Honors with the Reverend Roger Mono, officiating.  The Burial will be held privately by his family in the Hillside Cemetery in Natural Bridge, NY.

He attended Ellenburg Center High School. George was drafted into the United States Army on April 18th, 1958, where he served two years on active duty and then served in the National Guard until he was honorably discharged in 1961. George married Janice Marie Myers on April 9, 1955, in Carthage, NY. He was a coal dealer for Viking Snowplow in Harrisville for 21 years.

George is survived by his wife Janice Bouvier, Carthage, his brother, Loui (Sally) Bouvier, Malone; a very special niece, Debra Myers, Natural Bridge; a sister-in-law, Beverly Moore, Harrisville; and many nieces, nephews, and cousins.

He enjoyed woodworking, carpentry work, hunting, and the outdoors. He loved spending time with his family.

He is predeceased by his parents, his in-laws, Viola & David Myers, and his siblings, John, William, Donald, Margaret, Cleviola, and Viola.
