Helen C. Meeker

Natural Bridge – Helen C. Meeker, 95, of Natural Bridge passed away peacefully on November 10th, 2023, at Samaritan Summit Village.

Helen was born on March 6th, 1928, in Andover, New Jersey, to the late Arthur and Edith Bisbing.

She worked as a housekeeper for Pleasant Valley Manor Nursing Home in Stroudsburg, Pennsylvania. She spent the last twenty years, prior to her stay at Samaritan Summit Village, living with her son and daughter-in-law, Thomas, and Karen, in Natural Bridge.

She enjoyed reading, watching game shows, and spending time with her pug, Harley, before her passing.

Helen is survived by her children, Thomas (Karen) Meeker of Natural Bridge, Judy (Steven) Hagerty of Pennsylvania, Ronald Meeker of Virginia, Sally Alexander of South Carolina, Donald Meeker Jr. of Pennsylvania, Michael Meeker of Pennsylvania, Mary Jane Meeker of Pennsylvania, and Nancy Schafer of Florida; many grandchildren, many great-grandchildren, and many great-great-grandchildren.

She is predeceased by her children, Daniel Meeker, Carla Meeker Tanner, and Barbara Meeker Grose, and her beloved pug, Harley.

Per her wishes, there will be no funeral services or calling hours. Donations in Helen’s name may be made to Lewis County Office For-Aging or the Samaritan Summit Village Activities Fund.

The family would like to add a special thank you to the staff on the second floor of Summit Village for the kindness and compassion they maintained while caring for Helen.
