Harold R. Hill, II.

HARRISVILLE – Harold “Richy” Hill, 59, residing at 8281 High Street, died on March 25, 2024, at his home.

Calling hours will be held from 12:00pm - 2:00pm at Lundy Funeral Home & Cremation Service, Inc., 500 State St., Carthage. The funeral will be on Friday, April 5, 2024, at 2:00 pm in the funeral home Chapel with The Rev. Canon Samuel P. Lundy, officiating. A private burial will be held later in the Harrisville Cemetery where he will be laid to rest alongside his parents. A celebration of Life will be held at a later date. 

Richy was born on March 6, 1965, in Star Lake, NY to the late Harold “Herby” Richard Sr. & Vivian L. (Caswell) Hill. He graduated from Harrisville High School in 1984. He served in the Army National Guard Reserves.  A marriage to Lisa Fraser ended in divorce.

He is survived by his two sons, Eric (LeeAnn) Hill, Oakboro, N.C., and Sean (Erica) Hill, Marion, N.Y; his beloved sisters, Valerie S. (Edward) Ackroyd, Berne, N.Y., Wanda L. Hill, Harrisville, NY. His grandchildren, Casey Hill, Hunter Hill, and Russell Hill.

Harold is predeceased by his parents and a baby sister, Jane Mary.

He was a nature enthusiast who loved the outdoors. He enjoyed riding his 4-wheeler, snowmobiling, trapping, hunting, riding Jet Ski’s and traveling. Harold was a full member of the Lowville Lodge 134 F. & A.M and was also an ex-member of the Harrisville and Walworth, NY, Fire Departments. Most of all, Harold loved to spend time with his grandchildren.
