Carol Ann (Pictour) Melanson

Watertown- Carol Ann Melanson, 81, of Mechanic Street died peacefully on Sunday, January 21, 2024, at the Samaritan Medical Center in Watertown, NY. She was born in Waltham, Massachusetts on January 27, 1942, to the late John & Mary (Kennedy) Pictour.

There will be no calling hours, she will be laid to rest alongside her husband in Massachusetts.

Carol married James Paul Melanson Sr., the couple had six children; she is survived by her sons, Mark Melanson, Texas; Glen Melanson, Texas; and Kenny Melanson, Watertown, along with several grandchildren. She is also survived by her beloved sisters, Mary Gail Lane, and Ellen Pictour both of Waltham, MA; and her brother, John Pictour, New Hampshire; along with numerous nieces and nephews and special cousins.

She is predeceased by her husband James P. Melanson Sr., who died in 2008. Her children, James Melanson Jr., Denise Melanson, and David M. Melanson. Carol was primarily a homemaker.

Carol was a simple woman, she enjoyed spending time with her family, she loved her family gatherings, especially during the holidays and she was fond of thrift shopping.
