Antwerp- Tessa J. (Downing) Prince, age 62, formerly of Fulton Street, died unexpectedly on Saturday, October 24, 2026, at home under the care of her loving family.

She was born on June 5th, 1964, in Watertown, NY, to the late Gail N. & Sharon (VerBeck) Downing. She attended Carthage High School; Tessa was primarily a homemaker.

Tessa will be remembered for her warm, quiet strength and devotion to her family and friends. Tessa loved going to the casino, camping, and crocheting hats, and mittens for young children and donating them to schools. Tessa also loved to play Pac-Man before going to bed.

She is survived by a daughter, Elizabeth (38), and Robert Robinson, Philadelphia; three sons, Carlton W. Thomas (43), Black River; Christopher J. Thomas, (41), Watertown; David Thomas (36), Albion, NY; 9- grandchildren; two aunts, Marlene Landes, Briarcliff Manor, NY; and Linda (John) Moody, Carthage, NY. Tessa had several adopted children that she loved like her own.

She was predeceased by her parents, her loving husband, William C.D. Prince, and her three brothers, William J., Leon, and Gail L. Downing.

Calling hours will be held on Thursday, November 5th, 2026, from 3:00 p.m.- 5:00 pm at the Lundy Funeral Home. A celebration of life will be held in the spring/summertime.
