It’s with great sadness that we announce the services for Ryan James Cloe, who passed away unexpectedly on Friday, May 15, 2026, at the age of 21 in Chaumont, NY.
Born on July 6, 2004, in Watertown, NY, to William C. Cloe and Mary J. Dowling, Ryan graduated from Carthage High School and worked as a contractor for Larry Walseman. He was an avid outdoorsman who enjoyed hunting, fishing, 4x4 wheeling, and dirt biking. He also had a great passion for playing lacrosse and football, and cherished time spent with his friends.
Ryan is survived by his parents, William C. and Natasha Cloe, and Mary J. Cloe and her fiancé, Jeff Shorkey; his fiancé, Aubrey Stewart; and his siblings, Chase W. Cloe, Gavin H. Cloe, Devin Grove, Lauren Swarthout, Gavin Payne, Peyton Shorkey, Cameran Shorkey, and Mason Shorkey, grandparents, Tim & Karen Dowling; and one aunt and three uncles.
He is predeceased by his grandparents, Bill & Bobbi Cloe, and Mary & Butch LaParr.
The family requests that anyone attending the services please proudly wear their hunting camo, muck boots, work clothes, jeans, Cboys merch, and hats.
Calling hours will be held on Tuesday, May 19, 2026, from 3:00 pm to 6:00 pm with a service to follow in the Chapel at 6:00 pm at the Lundy Funeral Home & Cremation Service, Inc., located at 500 State Street, Carthage, NY. A graveside service will be held at a later date in Sunnyside Cemetery in Great Bend, where he will be laid to rest alongside his grandfather.
