Robert Henry Tibbles

March 8, 1943 — July 19, 2019

THERESA Robert H. Tibbles, 76, of Mill Street, died unexpectedly on Friday, July 19, 2019 as a result of a medical emergency suffered behind the wheel.
Robert was born on March 8, 1943 in Hammond, New York, a son of the late Earl & Pearl (Delano) Tibbles.
For employment, he worked for several farms in the Northern New York area. He was also a truck driver for Thompsons Stone Quarry in LaFargeville for many years. Recently, he drove truck for North Country Storage Barnes in Philadelphia.
On June 18, 1994 he married Donna Morin. She passed away on November 9, 1996.
He later went on to marry Carole Smith on June 20, 1998. Carole passed away on November 12, 2018.
Robert loved to drive truck and enjoyed being on the road. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, family and friends. He will be missed for his laugh, his cooking, and playing spoons. Most of all, his family will miss seeing him sit in his chair with a tall boy in hand.
Robert is survived by seven children, Kathy Lusch of Lehighton, PA; Tammy Tibbles of Carthage, NY; Robert Tibbles; Joyce (Perry) LeClair of Theresa, NY; Beth (Norman) Johnson of Dexter, NY; Dawn Snyder and her companion John; Doug (Dorothy) Snyder of Evans Mills; a brother, Carl Tibbles of Adams, NY; a sister, Iva Tibbles of Utah; several sister and brother-in-laws, nieces, nephews, 32 grandchildren, 55 great-grandchildren, and 2 great-great-grandchildren.
He is predeceased by nine siblings, Ruth, Silas, Alvin, Etta, George Sr., Hazel, Earl, Leon, and Georgiana.
A calling hour will be held on Monday, July 29, 2019 from 12-1 PM at Lundy Funeral Home & Cremation Service, Inc., 500 State St., Carthage. A memorial service will immediately follow at 1:00 PM in the funeral home.
