Robert O Mono Sr.

Robert O. Mono Sr., 39, passed away on Wednesday, June 18, 2025.

Calling hours will be held on Friday, June 27, 2025, from 3:00 pm to 5:00 pm at the Lundy Funeral Home & Cremation Service, Inc., 500 State St., Carthage. A funeral service will follow in the Lundy Funeral Home Chapel at 5:00 pm. A celebration of life will be held at St. Peter’s Catholic Church, 5457 Shady Ave, Lowville, NY 13367, from 6:00 pm to 8:00 pm following the service.

Robert was born on April 18, 1986, in Watertown, to Leslie Mono and Carrie Shinnick.

Robert worked a variety of places in the North Country, mostly in construction. He was known to be a dedicated and hard worker. He enjoyed spending time with his family, and getting his various tattoos. His greatest joy in life was making other people smile and laugh; this is how he will be remembered.

He is survived by his son, Robert Mono Jr.; his parents, Leslie Mono and Carrie Shinnick; his step-mother, Brenda Bridge; his step-father, Thomas Shinnick; his siblings, Sheri (Nathan) Gardner of Beaver Falls, Katrina (Jeffery) Smith of Watertown, Stephen Feisthamel of North Carolina, and Tracy (Melissa) Hirschey; step-brothers, Thomas (Sandi Christopher) Shinnick Jr., Joseph Shinnick, and John Mono; an aunt, Christene Larkins; as well as many aunts, uncles, nieces, and nephews.

He is predeceased by his maternal grandparents, Louise Stenoski and Franklin Larkins; his paternal grandparents, Connie and Meryl Mono; a cousin, Dustin Wisner; and his uncles, Harry Baxter, Meryl Mono Jr.; and Christian Larkins and Joe Mono, uncles whom passed at birth, and an aunt, Mary Mono whom passed at birth.
