Robert O Mono Sr.

Robert O. Mono Sr., 39, passed away on Wednesday, June 18, 2025.

Calling hours will be held on Friday, June 27, 2025, from 3:00 pm to 5:00 pm at the Lundy Funeral Home & Cremation Service, Inc., 500 State St., Carthage. A funeral service will follow in the Lundy Funeral Home Chapel at 5:00 pm. A celebration of life will be held after the service at Cedar Creek Campground, located at 4531 NY-410, Lowville, NY 13367, from 6:00 pm to 8:00 pm. 

Robert was born on April 18, 1986, in Watertown, to Leslie Mono and Carrie Shinnick.

Robert worked a variety of places in the North Country, mostly in construction. He was known to be a dedicated and hard worker. He enjoyed spending time with his family, and getting his various tattoos. His greatest joy in life was making other people smile and laugh; this is how he will be remembered.

He is survived by his son, Robert Mono Jr.; his parents, Leslie Mono and Carrie Shinnick; his step-mother, Brenda Bridge; his step-father, Thomas Shinnick; his siblings, Sheri (Nathan) Gardner of Beaver Falls, Katrina (Jeffery) Smith of Watertown, Stephen Feisthamel of North Carolina, Tracy (Melissa) Hirschey, and John Mono; step-sisters, Ashley Bridge, and Angel Lafountain; step-brothers, Thomas (Sandi Christopher) Shinnick Jr., Joseph Shinnick; as well as many aunts, uncles, nieces, and nephews.

He is predeceased by his maternal grandparents, Louise Stenoski and Franklin Larkins; his paternal grandparents, Connie and Meryl Mono; a cousin, Dustin Wisner; an aunt, Christene Larkins;and his uncles, Harry Baxter, Meryl Mono Jr.; and Christian Larkins and Joe Mono, uncles whom passed at birth, and an aunt, Mary Mono whom passed at birth.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Credo Community Center, at 138 Winthrop St, Watertown, NY 13601.
