Richard Clement

CARTHAGE- Richard H. Clement, 88, died peacefully on Saturday, August 1, 2020 at the Samaritan Medical Center where he was a patient for a few days. He was born on October 9, 1931 in Massena, NY to the late Earl & Florence (Small) Clement. He graduated from Massena High School. He proudly served in the United States Army from 1948-1952 during the Korean War. He retired from Fort Drum in 1992 as an Auto Mechanic. His first marriage to Eleanor R. (Disatell) Martin ended in divorce. Richard is survived by two children; a son, Richard A. & Marla K. Clement, Natural Bridge NY; and their 5 children and 5- grandchildren. A son, Rodney V. & Diana M. Clement from, Carthage; and their 5 children and 17- grandchildren.
He is predeceased by his longtime companion, Anna V. Farr, who died on June 3, 2015. He is survived by his grandchildren on Anna's side, Scott Farr, North Carolina; and Charlie Farr, Tennessee; great-grandchildren, Pamela Farr, Carthage; Kimberly Farr, North Carolina; and Tony Moran, Ohio; and two great-great grandchildren, Wyatt & Mckenzie Newton.
He is also predeceased an infant daughter. He was a member of the Bassett-Baxter American Legion Post#789, Carthage, NY. Per his wishes there will be no public calling hours. A Graveside Service will be held on Friday, August 7, 2020 at 2:00pm in the St. James Catholic Cemetery with, The Reverend Donald J. Robinson, Pastor of the Church officiating where Military Honors will be rendered.
