Ramona Jane Forcier

CARTHAGE – Ramona J. Forcier, 78, 216 South Clinton St., passed away at home on Sunday morning, October 4, 2026.

Born on August 4, 1948, in Champion, NY, she was the daughter of George and Doris (Montgomery) Dekin, Sr., and received her education in local schools. Over the years, she worked for Brahmen’s Manufacturing and drove for Forney’s Cab service in Carthage. In her later years, she enjoyed taking care of her grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her first husband, Thomas E. Plantz, and her second husband, Carl Forcier.

Ramona is survived by her fiancé of several years, James Wagner, Carthage, and her son, Kevin Plantz, Watertown. Also surviving is her brother, George Dekin, Jr., her sister-in-law, Shirley, and her children, Patty, Paul, Mike, and Julie. Also her sister-in-law and her husband, Cheryl and Earl Jodun and her cousins, Mary and Sue, along with 20 grandchildren, 3 great-grandchildren and 3 great-great-grandchildren.

She is predeceased by her daughters, Marsha and Lisa.

There will be no public visitation. A Graveside Memorial Service will be held on Friday, October 9, 2026, at 11:00 am at the Fairview Cemetery, Carthage.
