Paul S. Edwards

Black River- Paul S. Edwards, age 62, of Ball Road, died peacefully on Tuesday morning, November 19, 2024, at his home under the care of his loving wife and Hospice of Jefferson County.

Per his wishes, he will be cremated. A celebration of Life will be held at a later date. 

Paul was born in Hartford, CT, on July 28, 1962, to Earl and Madeline (Uricchio) Edwards. He enlisted in the United States Army in 1980, where he served four years on active duty and two years in the Army National Guard. Following his honorable discharge, Paul went on to become an HVAC Technician and worked in various prisons in the North Country, including Watertown, Ogdensburg, and Cape Vincent.

He married Paula Filippi in 1988. 

Paul enjoyed fishing, hunting, camping, going out on the boat, having cookouts, and anything else that had to do with being outside. Most of all he enjoyed spending time with his family.

He is survived by his wife of 36 years, Paula; his daughters, Jessica Edwards of Norwood, and Rebecca Edwards of Alexandria, VA; his father, Earl Edwards of CT; his siblings, Marie (Jim) Chase of Granby, CT, Susan Edwards of PA, Jim (Donna) Edwards of SC, and Walter (Dorie) Edwards of Windsor, CT; and many nieces and nephews.

He is predeceased by his mother, Madeline Edwards; and a brother, Thomas Edwards. 

Memorial donations in his memory can be made to a charity of one’s choice.
