Carthage - Patrick A. Bevens Jr., 54, passed away unexpectedly on Saturday, May 17, 2025.
Calling hours will be held on Wednesday, May 21, 2025, from 4 pm to 7 pm at the Lundy Funeral Home & Cremation Service, Inc., 500 State St., Carthage. A funeral service will be held on Thursday, May 22, 2025, at 10 am in the Lundy Funeral Home Chapel with the Reverend Canon Samuel P. Lundy officiating. A graveside service will follow at the Barnes Settlement Cemetery in Redwood, NY. Following the burial, there will be a gathering at the Great Bend Fire Department, located at 32768 State Rte 26, Carthage, NY 13619.
Patrick was born on November 3, 1970, to Patrick A. Bevens Sr. and Julia (Demar) Brown. He graduated from Carthage Central School with the class of 1988. He worked a variety of jobs in the North Country, including driving tow trucks, driving cabs, and at Papa John’s in Evans Mills.
Patrick was heavily involved in the Great Bend Fire Department for many years. He was also a member of the COBRAS Drill Team.
He is survived by his son, Steven (Cassandra) Bevens; his mother, Julia Brown; his father, Patrick A. (Linda) Bevens Sr.; his grandchildren, McKinley Bonnell, Theodore Bevens, Madison Jackson, and Lincoln Bonnell; his sisters, Julia (Bob) Lees, Crystal Typhair, Amber Bevens; a brother, George (Contanita) Bevens; step-sons, Damon and Michael; and several nieces and nephews.
