EVANS MILLS - Nancy Simmons, 67, of 28488 Rogers Road, passed away April 1, 2016 at the Hospice House of Jefferson County in Watertown..
She was born on November 13, 1948 in Utica, NY, the daughter of Albert & Adeline Wagner. Nancy attended Whitesboro School and received her Cosmetology Certificate from Utica Beauty School. Nancy worked at various beauty salons in the local New Hartford area and after the birth of her daughter she was primarily a homemaker. She married Bruce Simmons in September of 1969 at St. Anthony's Church in Yorkville, NY.
Nancy is survived by her husband, Bruce Simmons; a daughter, Wendy Simmons Parker & Mike Parker, and grandson, Trey Zehr of Evans Mills; brother and sister-in-law, Albert & Judy Wagner, Rome, NY; brother-in-law, Frank Krol, Old Forge, NY; and several nieces and nephews. She is predeceased by her parents and sister, Cynthia Krol.
A Memorial Service will be held at 6:00 P.M., Wednesday, April 6, 2016, at the Northridge Cremation Chapel of the Lundy Funeral Home, located on the corner of US Route 11 and Town Line Road in Philadelphia. Calling hours will be held from 4:00pm-6:00pm prior to the service.
The family is requesting that in lieu of flowers, memorial donations be made to Hospice of Jefferson County, 1398 Gotham St., Watertown, NY 13601. Online condolences can be made at www.lundyfuneralhome.com
