Mary Alice Peck

Mary Alice Peck passed away peacefully on Thursday morning, April 16, 2026, at Samaritan Summit Village in Watertown, NY.

Born on July 25, 1951, in Carthage, NY, to the late John C. and Wilma (Fargo) Peck, Mary graduated from Carthage High School before earning a Bachelor’s degree from SUNY Potsdam and a Master’s degree in education from SUNY Geneseo. Mary dedicated her career to teaching at elementary schools in both the Canandaigua and Naples School Districts. She was a member of the New York State United Teachers Association (NYSUT) and enjoyed crafting and reading.

She is survived by her siblings, John E. Peck of Carthage and Harry Peck of Deferiet, her nephews, John D. (Maria) Peck and Brian S. (Sarah) Peck, Cory Peck, all of Carthage; Barry Peck, Watertown; and a niece, Bethany Peck, Carthage. She was predeceased by her parents and her siblings, Barbara Peck and Duane Peck.

A funeral service at the Woolworth Memorial Church in Great Bend will be announced at a later date. Following the service, she will be laid to rest in Sunnyside Cemetery in Great Bend, NY. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made in Mary’s memory to the Woolworth Memorial Methodist Church in Great Bend.
