WEST CARTHAGE - Laurie Vassar, 43, 24 Champion St., died Monday morning, February 29th at the Carthage Area Hospital after being stricken at home.
Born on January 13, 1973, the daughter of Benjamin and Gertrude Howard Vassar, she attended Carthage schools. She is a former employee of the Dollar Depot, Carthage and JRC, Watertown. She was a very active member of the Carthage Area Rescue Squad Auxiliary.
She is survived by many friends, as well as her brothers; Roger, Chip, Raymond and John Green.
Calling hours will be held on Friday, March 4th, 2016 from 12 - 2 PM at the Lundy Funeral Home & Cremation Service, Inc., 500 State St., Carthage. A service will follow at 2:00 PM, with the Rev. Canon Samuel P. Lundy officiating. Spring burial will be in Maple Hill Cemetery, Rutland. Online condolences may be made at www.lundyfuneralhome.com
