Cape Vincent - Kenneth “KT” Jones, 55, passed away on Thursday, October 2, 2025, while at Carthage Center for Nursing and Rehabilitation, where he had been a patient for a number of years.
Per his wishes, there will be no calling hours or services.
KT was born on September 23, 1970, in Watertown to Kenneth and Ruth (Scales) Jones. After graduating from Thousand Islands High School, he chose to remain in the North Country and began working at Keewaydin State Park. As an Office Assistant 1, KT was responsible for ensuring that New York State Parks had the resources they needed each year. Though it was a significant undertaking, keeping everything organized and running smoothly came naturally to him—skills that also served him well in his personal interests.
A dedicated collector, KT spent much of his free time searching for pieces to complete his various collections. While Star Trek and NASCAR memorabilia made up the bulk of them, he also enjoyed collecting movie and television trading cards. His strong organizational skills extended to the online reselling community, where he found another outlet for his passions and talents. KT also spent many summer evenings at the Bay Drive-In Theatre in Alexandria Bay, something that he looked forward to year after year.
KT is survived by his mother, Ruth; his sisters, Mary (Kevin) Clark and Juanita (Steven) Gibson; and numerous nieces and nephews.
He is predeceased by his father, Kenneth Jones; his sister, Kathy; and his brother, Kevin “Toby”.
In lieu of flowers, donations in KT’s memory may be made to the Cape Vincent Volunteer Fire Department, located at 241 Broadway St, Cape Vincent, NY 13618.
Arrangements are with the Lundy Funeral Home & Cremation Service, Inc., located at 500 State Street, Carthage, NY 13619. Online condolences in his memory can be made to www.lundyfuneralhome.com
