Born on December 1, 1954 and raised in Hanau am Main, Germany to Heinz Christian Paul Benthien and Elfriede Ingeborg Hoffmann. A hard working woman in retail and data processing for the railroad from age 18 until 32. The life of the party and lover of travel.

When she met and befriended her future husband, Joseph Schneider, they were able to tour around Europe together until traveling back to the United States where they were married on January 15th, 1989.

A true city girl turned country gal after settling down in her home in Carthage.

Anyone that knew Jutta had a love for her kind heart, feisty attitude, German accent, baking and cooking. She was able to take on and excel at any job given to her. Her hard work knew no bounds. She had a love for any animal; especially cats. She had rehabilitated several feral cats. Many times she tried to sneak a new one home without her family knowing. But further passing that love of animals to her children. Her love was not limited to just animals. Jutta loved her family fiercely through actions and food.

Jutta beat Stage 4 lung cancer in 2014 and other various kinds over the past 12 years. Never losing hope or letting it get her down. Her doctors and husband would brag of her German blood keeping her strong. Cancer did not win in the end.

She was a member and worked for the American Legion for 14 years then followed her love of cooking to become the lead Cook at Carthage Elementary School and retired from there.

She is survived by her husband of 37 years Joseph, three children Joshua (Pia), Monika (Michael) and Crystal (Joseph). Nine grandchildren Tahlia, Summer, Christopher, Maelie, Jaxson, Colt, Caleb, Carson and Braydon. Her sister Gaby (Hans-Peter). And her two cats Peppeloni and Rocky.
