Funeral services for Judith Tidaback, age 82 of Harrisville, will be held on Thursday, May 7th, 2026, at 7:00 pm at the Lundy Funeral Home Chapel. Calling hours will be held prior to the funeral and be held at the funeral home in Carthage from 4-7 pm. Mrs. Tidaback passed away peacefully on Monday, May 4, 2026, at her home surrounded by her loving family.

She was born on March 17, 1944, to the late Harry Raymond & Evelyn LaRue (Weaver) Yost in Salem, NJ. She graduated from Pennsville High School. She later married William (Bill) Tidaback, III. On July 20, 1974, at Little Chapel in Elkton, MD. Judith was a Certified Registered Nurse of Anesthesia. She worked for Wilmington Medical Center and Christina Health Center in Newark, DE, retiring in 1987.

She found joy in music, spending her time singing with the Sweet Adelines, where her voice and spirit enriched every chorus she joined. A devoted reader, she loved getting lost in a good book, finding comfort and imagination in the stories she cherished. She delighted in celebrating her birthday, savoring chocolate, and relaxing on her father’s swing — small pleasures that brought her deep contentment. Some of her happiest moments were spent at the beach with her family or traveling to the Outer Banks with her husband. Her early years in Shamokin, Pennsylvania, especially the time with her grandparents, remained a treasured part of her story throughout her life. She was a member of the Harrisville United Methodist Church and the Sweet Adelines for 47 years.

Five children survive her, Carole Sue Carpenter Dover, DE; William H. (Laurie) Tidaback IV Chesapeake City, MD; Dena Lavender Boothwyn, PA; Sandi (Travis) Moore Harrisville, NY and Harry (Ray) (Jaime) Tidaback Lexington, SC; her grandchildren, Kenny (Wendy) Carpenter, Robyn (Josh) Kossek, Kristin (Phil) Peacock, Anna Tidaback (fiancé Marc), Liam Tidaback, Tama (Schuyler) Nail, Devin (Kenzi) Moore, Cali (Levi) Sanford, Kira Moore (Elijah Whitfield), Jessica (Jared) Lavender, Joseph & Andrew Lavender, Trenton (Amanda) Atkinson, Nathan Atkinson and Sophia Tidaback; and seventeen great- grandchildren.

She is predeceased by her parents, her husband William “Bill” Tidaback, in 2016, and her beloved sisters, Barbara Lea and Mary Ann Field.

Donations in her memory can be made to Lewis County Hospice or the American Heart Association. Arrangements are entrusted to the Lundy Funeral Home and Cremation Services Inc. Online condolences in her memory may be made at www.lundyfuneralhome.com
