NATURAL BRIDGE, N.Y. - Jay L. Love, 74, of 27651 Depot St., died Thursday morning, July 23, at his home.
Born Sept. 17, 1940, in Syracuse, the son of Samuel Jesse & Elizabeth Cree Love, he graduated from OFA in Ogdensburg and attended college in Syracuse.
He was employed by the Local 60 Union in Syracuse as an Iron Worker.
A marriage to Janet Marie Cadieux ended in divorce. He married Ereleen S. Gill in Hogansburg on March 31, 2000.
Besides his wife, he is survived by his son Jeff and his wife Audra Love, Syracuse, his daughter, Carolee Buholtz, Syracuse, his stepchildren; Marty J. Stiles, North Carolina and Brian E. Stiles, Natural Bridge, his sister, Audrey Haynes, Cortland and 9 grandchildren. A brother, Ralph, a sister, Dorothy Traux, and a grandchild, all died before him.
A funeral service will be held 3 p.m. Monday, July 27, in the chapel of the Lundy Funeral Home & Cremation Service, Inc., 500 State St, Carthage, with the Rev. Wayne Arnold officiating. Calling hours will be held 1 to 3 p.m. Monday prior the funeral. Memorial donations may be made to the Ronald McDonald House, www.cnyronaldmcdonaldhouse.org
