Holly L. Ross

CARTHAGE - Holly L. Ross, 50, 22172 County Rte. 42, died Thursday evening at Upstate University Hospital in Syracuse.
Born in Berlin Hospital New Jersey on December 20, 1965, the daughter of John (Jack) & Donna Reed Ross. She graduated in 1984 from Carthage Central High School and also attended Cosmetology at BOCES in Watertown. She married Carl Newton on March 18, 1989; the marriage ended in divorce. She worked for the Carthage Central School Transportation Department as a dedicated aide for over 20 years, as well as working for the Carthage Elks Lodge BPOE #1762 for many years. Holly was a kind, caring person, and positively impacted the lives of many others. Her family meant everything to her. She especially enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren.
She is survived by her mother, Donna Ross Craft, her daughters; Jessica and her husband, Brad Goeman, Carthage and Lindsey Newton and her partner Marcus McCarty, Watertown and her grandchildren; Connor, Macie, Veronica, Carson and Jakob. Also surviving are her sisters; Shelli McIlroy and Jackie Harper, her brothers; John and Jeff Ross, as well as several nieces and nephews. She is predeceased by her father, Jack and her grandson, Dillon Goeman.
A memorial service will be held on Thursday, July 14th at 7:00 PM at the Lundy Funeral Home & Cremation Service, Inc., 500 State St., Carthage, with the Rev. Jane Wagner officiating. Visitation will be held on Thursday, prior to the service, from 4 - 7 PM. Burial will be in Fairview Cemetery, Carthage. There will be a luncheon at the VFW Post #7227 in Carthage on Friday, July 15th at 12:00 PM.
