Herbert "Fred" Patterson

OGDENSBURG, N.Y. - Herbert "Fred" Patterson, 86, of 720 Proctor Ave., died Thursday, Sept. 17, at home under the care of his family and St. Lawrence County Hospice.
He was born on January 21, 1929 to Clarence W. & Alice J. Baker Patterson in Lisbon, NY.
He attended Ogdensburg Free Academy and later worked at Utica Plumbing and Howland Pump in Ogdensburg, NY.
He married Lula Jenne on June 24, 1950.
He was a member of First Presbyterian Church in Ogdensburg.
Surviving are his wife, Lula Patterson and their two children, Betty E. Wright of Grafton, MA and William (Suzanne) Patterson of Ogdensburg, NY; his grandchildren: Andrea Stump, Heather Wright-Craft, Kimberly Elder all of Massachusetts, Sean Patterson of Heuvelton, and Pamela Smith of Canton along with a nephew John Patterson and a niece Jamie Sovie several cousins and 13 great-grandchildren.
He was predeceased by a brother Jack Patterson of Ogdensburg.
Some of his hobbies included hunting, fishing, and woodworking along with spending time at his camp near the Windfall. He was also a member of the Spruce Mountain Hunting Club, Norwood Norfolk Hunting Club, and a lifetime member of the NRA.
A memorial service will be held in Ogdensburg on September 26 at 1:00pm at the First Presbyterian Church, 423 Ford Street with a celebration of his life following the service.
