Carthage - George Ayres Jr, 81, passed away on Thursday, August 14, 2025, while at home.

A calling hour will be held on Friday, August 22, 2025, from 12:00 pm to 1:00 pm at the Lundy Funeral Home, located at 500 State Street in Carthage, NY 13619. A funeral service will be held following the calling hour at 1:00 pm in the Lundy Funeral Home Chapel. Following the funeral service, George will be laid to rest at the St. James Catholic Cemetery.
