Erlene Sidonia Love

NATURAL BRIDGE, N.Y.- Erlene Sidonia Love, 72, of 27651 Depot St., died peacefully on Monday, June 23, 2025, at the Samaritan Medical Center in Watertown, NY.

A Graveside Service will be held in the Hillside Cemetery in Natural Bridge on Saturday, July 12, 2025 at 11:00 am with the Reverand Wayne Arnold, officiating.

Erlene was born on July 20, 1952, in West Carthage, NY, to the late Charles H. & Anna Bell (Gray) Gill. She attended Carthage Central School.

She married Jay Leroy Love in Hogansburg on March 31, 2000. Mr. Love died on July 23, 2015.

She is survived by two sons, Marty J. (Tori) Stiles, Sneads Ferry, North Carolina; and Brian E. Stiles, of Natural Bridge. Her sister, Juanita Lavancha, Great Bend; her grandchildren, Maryia Logan Stiles, Dustin Wayne Stiles, and Lucas John Stiles, and a great-grandchild, Willow Freya-Hope Wood.

Erlene was a member of the Saint Regis Mohawk Tribe of Akwesasne in Hogansburg. She and Jay had a passion for racing, and they shared a love for travel, especially within the dirt racing circuit. They truly enjoyed attending Super Dirt Week, and they both were devoted NASCAR fans. Among her favorite drivers were Carl Edwards and Rusty Wallace.

She is predeceased by her parents, and several siblings, Louis Gill, Bartlett Gill, Mary Schermerhorn, Rosemary Hubbard, and Marquita Howland, and a granddaughter, Alyson Grace Stiles.
