WEST CARTHAGE - Doris E. Kramer, 85, 40 N. Broad St., died at home Thursday evening, September 1, 2016.
Born at home on Vincent St. in West Carthage on November 1, 1930, the daughter of Clarence & Ruth Sherman Scougal, she attended schools in Herrings and Carthage. She was very active in the Salvation Army, where she served as a Major. She was primarily a homemaker who was very involved with the Baptist Church; she enjoyed studying genealogy.
Doris is survived by her husband, Earnest T. Kramer, her children and their spouses; Kathleen Kramer (Nick), San Bruno, California, Rosanna Regis (Kenneth), Fayetteville, Georgia, Elizabeth Metzger, Homer, NY, Earnest Kramer II, Hartfordshire, UK (Janet), Evangeline Visocky (Paul), Everett, Washington and Jonathan Kramer, Concord, California. Also surviving are her siblings; Ruth Sly, Herrings, Clifford Scougal, Carthage and Robert Scougal, Watertown, along with 9 grandchildren and 5 great-grandchildren.
Mrs. Kramer is predeceased by her siblings; Geraldine Perfetto, David Scougal and Clarence Scougal.
A funeral service will be held on Tuesday, September 6, 2016 in the Chapel of the Lundy Funeral Home & Cremation Service, Inc., 500 State St., Carthage, with the Rev. Greg Sigworth of Liverpool, NY officiating. Burial will follow in Fairview Cemetery, Carthage. Visitation will be held prior to the service on Tuesday from 11:00 AM - 1:00 PM.
