Carthage - Donna M. Davis, 85, passed away on Sunday, August 17, 2025, while at home.

Calling hours will be held on Monday, August 25, 2025, from 4:00 pm to 6:00 pm at the Lundy Funeral Home, located at 500 State Street in Carthage, NY 13619. A funeral service will be held on Tuesday, August 26, 2025, at 11:00 am in the Lundy Funeral Home Chapel with Pastor Wayne Arnold officiating. Following the funeral service, a graveside service will be held at Fairview Cemetery, where she will be laid to rest alongside her husband and son.

Donna was born on January 28, 1940, in Carthage to the late Joseph and Florence (Blanchard) Babcock. She attended school in Carthage and went on to work for the Crown Zellerbach Paper Mill. She worked there for a majority of her life, alongside raising her beloved family. She married Robert Davis on May 31, 1958.

Most people will remember Donna as having a larger-than-life personality, a self-proclaimed spitfire. She enjoyed playing on her computer and was a lifetime member of the Carthage American Legion, Post 789, and the Veterans of Foreign Wars Dionne-Rumble Post 7227. Most of all, she cherished the time she got to spend at the family camp, and spending time with her beloved children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren.

Donna is survived by her children, Robin Davis-Weatherhead, Steve (Diane) Davis, Scott Davis, Cheryl Davis, and Melody (Dan) Peebles; eleven grandchildren; thirteen great-grandchildren; her twin brother, Donald Babcock; and a brother, Michael Babcock.

Donna is predeceased by her husband, Robert Davis Sr.; a son, Robert “Goober” Davis; her siblings, Christina Miles, John Babcock, Joseph Babcock, Sherman Babcock, Ruth Meyers, and Rose Morgan.
