WATERTOWN - Daniel Allen Gibson, 28, 180 Park Ave., was pronounced dead on Thursday, January 14, 2016 at the Samaritan Medical Center.
Born in Killeen, Texas, on Fort Hood on January 10, 1988, the son of Jocelyn Bertan Baker. He was currently serving with the 204th Engineer Battalion of the New York Army National Guard, Binghamton, NY. He also was employed by Sam's Club, Watertown. He was an outdoorsman who loved to cook and barbeque for his family and friends; he enjoyed listening to country music, especially when he was driving his truck. Daniel was a playful person who loved playing with his kids and his beloved dog.
He is survived by his mother, Jocelyn D. Baker, Carthage, his wife, Natali Arroyo Villon Gibson, his son, Daniel Gibson, Jr., his stepsons; Jaysen Boscan and Jeremy Campos and his stepdaughter, Paris Boscan. Also surviving is his brother, Andrew L. Baker, Carthage and his grandfather, Paul Bertan, Syracuse.
In keeping with Daniel's loving and generous spirit, the gift of life was shared with many people through organ and tissue donation. A memorial service will be held on Friday, January 22nd at 7:00 PM in the Chapel of the Lundy Funeral Home & Cremation Service, Inc., 500 State St, Carthage.
