HARRISVILLE - Craig R. Mitchell, 57, 14327 Maple St., died Sunday evening April 9, 2017 after being stricken at home.
Born in Watertown on February 17, 1960, the son of Robert G. & Dawn (Paul) Mitchell, he graduated from Lyme Central School, with the Class of 1979. He also attended Jefferson Lewis BOCES and received a degree in Farm Production Management.
He was currently employed by the former Best Distributors, now Eagle Beverage in Watertown; he was a delivery driver for over 18 years. He was a member of the Three Mile Bay Fire Department and an EMT Instructor First Responder for 20 years. He married Heather Parow in Cape Vincent on April 4, 2009.
Craig is survived by his wife, Heather and his son, Paul at home, along with his stepchildren; Josh Weeks and his fiance, Mariah Carr, Harrisville, Nathan Weeks and his fiance, Tiffany Sumner, Eugene, Oregon and Emily Weeks, Harrisville. Also surviving is his father, Robert, his siblings; Connie Mitchell, Chaumont, Colin & Tina Mitchell, LaFargeville, Carrie Sue and her companion, Rick Woodside and several nieces, nephews and cousins. He is predeceased by his mother, Dawn.
Craig enjoyed the outdoors. He kept himself busy by working on tractors, mowers, haying and most of all spending time with his son, wife and family. He was a famous joker, and loved to catch his friends off guard.
A funeral service will be held on Thursday, April 13th at 11:00 AM in the Chapel of the Lundy Funeral Home & Cremation Service, Inc., 500 State St., Carthage with the Rev. Christopher Looby, officiating. Burial will follow in St. Lawrence Cemetery, Clayton. Visitation will be held on Wednesday, April 12th from 5:00 - 8:00 PM at the Funeral Home.
