Cindy L. Burke

Carthage - Cindy L. Burke, 68, of 600 S Washington Street, passed away peacefully on Saturday, March 14, 2026, while surrounded by her beloved family.

Cindy was born on November 13, 1957, in Watertown to the late Albert and Betty (O’Connell) Myers, and she attended Carthage Central High School. Following high school, Cindy worked for many years as a nurse's aide at Samaritan Medical Center, as well as a sous chef for Partridge Berry Inn. A marriage to Eric Burke ended in divorce.

Cindy’s children and grandchildren were her pride and joy, and she cherished every moment spent by their side. Always dedicated to her faith, Cindy had a deep passion for Jesus and spreading his message.

She is survived by her children, Greg Burke of Great Bend, and Ericka Washer of Great Bend; granddaughters, Shyloh Washer and Alyssa (Reshawn) Washer, both of Watertown; a brother, Stephen Myers of Watertown; a brother-in-law, Richard Beirman; and many nieces and nephews.

Cindy is predeceased by her parents, Albert and Betty Myers; her brother, Richard Myers; and her sister, Carol (Myers) Beirman.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Calvary Assembly of God, located at 10 Martin St. Rd, Carthage, NY 13619.

Calling hours will be held on Friday, March 20, 2026, from 11:00 am to 1:00 pm at Calvary Assembly of God, located at 10 Martin St. Rd, Carthage, NY 13619. A funeral service will follow the calling hours at 1:00 pm with Pastor Dan officiating. A graveside service will take place following the funeral at Fairview Cemetery.
