Arlene Victoria (Robbins) Pastella, 89, previously of Liverpool, NY, passed away peacefully at home in Wanakena, NY.
She was born on October 20, 1929 in Lorraine, NY. Arlene was a homemaker and loving mother, grandmother and great grandmother. She was a member of the Liverpool American Legion Womens Auxiliary. She was an accomplished seamstress since the age of 8 growing up on a farm on the Tughill Plateau during the Depression and graduated from Lowville Academy in 1947. Arlene was a caring individual opening up her home to any family or friend that needed a place to live. She was a dedicated worker caring for the elderly until she was 82.
She is predeceased by her parents, William D. and Florence (Gardner) Robbins; her husband Pat J. Pastella; brothers Clyde and Keith Robbins, sisters Audrey Ingersoll, Beatrice Crump and Beverly Minasian; and infant daughter Mary Annette.
Arlene is survived by sons, Joseph M. (Kelly) of Liverpool; Michael J. (Darlena) of Williamstown; William P. (Joanne) of Liverpool; and Daughter, Patricia M. Pastella of Wanakena. Brothers, Lyle of Lowville and Carl of Williamstown, Sister, Madalene Mackey of Lowville and Brother-in-law, Paul Minasian of Eastwood. Fifteen Grand Children, Thirteen Great Grand Children and many nieces and nephews. All of whom loved her very much.
Following cremation, Arlenes ashes will be buried in Assumption Cemetery, Syracuse, NY with her predeceased husband Pats remains during a private ceremony in July.
