Ann Christine Burgess

Ann Burgess, 77, passed away on Saturday, February 15, 2025, while at Carthage Center for Rehabilitation and Nursing.

Ann was born on August 20, 1947, in South Wales, UK, to the late George and Jane (Stimpson) Hitch. She married Herbert Burgess on November 18, 1965, at St. Margaret’s in Fletton, England. 

Ann worked as a sales associate for the Army Airforce Exchange Service at a variety of bases around the world and retired from the Shaw Air Force Base in South Carolina.

She is survived by her daughter, Rayna Steele, Natural Bridge, NY; a son, Paul Burgess, Florida; 6 grandchildren; 4 great-grandchildren; and a special niece Susan Cohen, Texas.

She is predeceased by her parents; her late husband Herbert Burgess who passed in 2004; a daughter, Tara Moore; and her sister, Marleen Jarvis.

She loved the American Author, James Patterson, an avid book reader. She enjoyed watching Days of Our Lives and the Hallmark Channel. She became an American Citizen in 1973 and was extremely proud of it.

She is to be laid to rest alongside her husband, Herbert, at Arlington National Cemetery.
