| West Carthage -Carthage- Audrey LaPeer, 86, of 63 Madison Street. Apt 224 died Monday, August 30, 2010 at the Carthage Area Hospital. She was born on January 7, 1924 in Herman, NY to Anson & Olga Mack Stevens. She graduated High School. In her early years she was a receiving clerk and a babysitter, before becoming a homemaker.
She married Clifford Curd in 1942, he died in 1971. She later married Mike LaPeer in 1973, he died in 1978. She enjoyed bowling, playing BINGO, and watching sports.
She is survived by five children; Delores Line, Brighton Michigan; Doris McGregor, Westland Michigan; Clifford Curd, Fowlerville, Michigan; Kathleen Lalone, Carthage; and James Curd, Carlsbad, California. She is also survived by a brother, Gerald Stevens, Antwerp and 11-granchildren, 17 great-grandchildren, 1 great-great- grandchild, several nieces and nephews.
She is predeceased by two children; Elizabeth & Thomas Curd; and several brothers and sisters; Douglas, Perpeva, Arlene, Donald, Gordon, Albert, Robert, and Denver Stevens.
Calling hours will be held on Wednesday, September 1, 2010 from 6-7PM at the Bossuot-Lundy Funeral Home Inc. 500 State Street. Carthage NY 13619. Burial will be held privately and will take place in Michigan.

| Barnes Corners -Barnes Corners- Logan Ross Holder, infant son of Chanel and Dave Holder died Sunday, August 29, 2010 at the Lewis County General Hospital.
He is survived by his parents and grandparents; David Sr. & Rita Holder; Barnes Corners; Tina & Alan Barkley, Adams; Norman & Rose Cobb, Florida; Great-Grandparents; Velma Holder, NY; Teresa & Richard Kohl, Adams Center and Bruce & Paula Cobb, Belleville. He is also survived by several aunts and uncles and cousins.

| Watertown -Watertown- Judith Ann Katherine Bensor, 66, formerly of Great Bend, died Saturday, August 28, 2010 at the Mercy Hospital in Watertown. She was born on April 14, 1944 to William Knapp and Genevieve E. Willcox. She graduated from Port Allegany High School in Pennsylvania.
She married George Bensor on June 13, 1981 in Carthage. She was a homemaker. She was a past member of the St. James Church in Carthage. She was also a member of the Great Bend Fire Department Ladies Auxiliary. She loved to play BINGO.
She is survived by her husband, George, two sons, David Bensor, Watertown; Carl Lasher, PA. She is also survived by three sisters; Sally Oakes, Rose MacCue, Katherine Hall, and two brothers; Alan Jr. and Mark Willcox.
A calling hour will be held on Monday, August 30, 2010 from 10:00-11:00am at the Bossuot-Lundy Funeral Home Inc. 500 State Street. Carthage NY 13619. | Copenhagen -COPENHAGEN-Dennis J. Lawlee, 65, died Friday evening surrounded by his loving family at the University Hospital in Syracuse, where he had been a patient since July.
Born in the City of Watertown on October 15, 1944, son of Lawrence J. and M. Elizabeth Souva Lawlee. He graduated from Copenhagen Central School in 1962; He also graduated from the Watertown School of Commerce in 1966. He married Carol Boni on July 8, 1967.
He retired from the Lewis County Sheriff's Department in 2007 after 35 years of dedicated service, as Chief Deputy Sheriff.
He was a member of the St. Mary's Catholic Church in Copenhagen. He was an exempt member of the Copenhagen Fire Department. A life member of the Lowville Elks Lodge #1605.
He especially enjoyed his gardens, fishing, cooking, and he loved Syracuse Basketball.
He is survived by his wife, Carol of 43 years, Copenhagen; a son, Dennis C. Lawlee and his son, Jacob, Copenhagen; a son, Jonathan and his wife Kara Lawlee and son Regan, Adams Center; a daughter Jodi and her husband Daniel Brown and children Kaitlynn and Mason, Copenhagen; two sisters, Kathryn and her husband Donald Lortie, Copenhagen; and Barbara Nylen, Central Square; a sister-in-law, Barbara Lawlee, Carthage.
He is predeceased by his parents, a brother Lawrence and a sister Carol Anne Lawlee.
A Funeral Mass for Mr. Lawlee will be held on Tuesday, August 31th at 1:00 PM at St. Mary's Catholic Church in Copenhagen, with The Revered George F. Maroun, officiating. Burial will follow in St. Mary's Cemetery, Copenhagen.

| Carthage -Jeffrey B. "Jeff" Pettis, 35, of Carthage, NY, formerly of Wind Gap, died Tuesday, August 24, 2010 in Jefferson County, NY from injuries he sustained in an accident. He was the husband of Michelle (Edelman) Pettis. Born in Stroudsburg, on October 16, 1974, he was the son of Gloria A. (Schweitzer) Zucal of Wind Gap and Lester L. Pettis, Jr.
Jeff attended Pen Argyl High School and also served in the United States National Guard. He later honorably served in the United States Army during the Iraq War. Following his military service, Jeff reinstated his embroidery business known as Distinguished Graphics, New York. He enjoyed running and exercising, and he was an avid arborist who loved caring for his orchard. Jeff was a patriot who loved his country and was extremely proud of his military service. He loved his family and he will be greatly missed.
Survivors: in addition to his loving mother, Gloria and wife, Michelle, he is survived by his paternal grandfather, Lester L. Pettis, Sr. of Nazareth and maternal grandmother, Bessie (Schaadt) Schweitzer of Upper Nazareth Township; a sister, Sherry A. White and her husband, Kevin of Manhattan, Kansas; two (2) step-brothers: Jonathan Zucal of Hatfield and Jason Zucal of Moore Township; two nephews: Skyler and Ethan White.
Services: a memorial service in celebration of Jeff's life will be held on Tuesday, August 31, 2010 at 11:00 A.M. in the George G. Bensing Funeral Home, Inc., 2165 Community Drive, Route 946, Village of Moorestown - Bath, PA 18014. Interment with military honors will follow in the Hope Cemetery, Hecktown, PA.
Contributions: may be made in memory of Jeff to the Creature Comforts Veterinary Service, Old 115, Stroudsburg, PA 18353.
